The timetable for the 2019 Summer Classic has been released, and can be found on the Summer Classic page. We have 8 teams participating this year, which is a great turnout. Teams have been split into two pools for the first half of the day. Following the lunch break, crossover rounds will take place. Total points from pool and crossover rounds will determine minor round placings. To conclude the day we will play off for individual positions; 1st through to 4th.
Under the new Korfball Australia regulations, all players need to register online prior to the day. The new registration covers all KSA and KA sanctioned events for the year. As such, some players will already be registered, but anyone who has not played organised Korfball this year will be required to register. Registration can be found here, or under “Account” in the main menu. If anyone has any issues with registration, please email webmaster@korfball.org.au with details (name and email) of the player having difficulties.
The day will kick off at 9:20am, a little earlier then traditional 10am start. Due to the large number of teams, and the desire to have finals, this was unavoidable. This also gives teams a good amount of time to have some lunch and a catch up during the day.  Some teams have back to back games, we do apologise for this however it could not be avoided. The refereeing schedule has been divided up as best as possible and does not conflict with club games.
As we are not the biggest sport but the friendliest may we please ask for the 4 teams that are playing the first game arrive early to help set up the courts as many hands make light work. However this is not to say that members from the other clubs cannot come early to help out also. There will be members from KSA to help and assist with this so if you have any questions or help please just ask.

Glenelg has kindly nominated to run a BBQ/Drink stall for the day, so there will be some food and drinks available for purchase. However it is still recommended to bring sufficient amount of water/drinks/food for the day. It is also advised to bring all the sun smart items of sunscreen, hats, shades, chairs, etc as its normally a warm and sunny day.

Good luck to all teams, looking forward to seeing you all on day.
