The timetable for the upcoming Summer Classic is now online, and can be found on the Summer Classic competition page. Also on this page will be the results and ladder, as soon as results start coming in.

The big day is February 24, and as in previous iterations, the tournament will be held at Club Marion, 262 Sturt Rd, Marion, with a map of the venue available on the event page. Played on grass, the first games kick off at 10:00am, with teams expected at 9:30am to help with set-up. Matches are 2×15 min halves, with a 3 minute half time. Each team has 1 timeout per game, and may make unrestricted substitutions at any break in play. Players are permitted, indeed encouraged, to wear appropriate sun protection during games. As was announced earlier, only 4 A Grade State League players are permitted on court per team at any point in time.

With 7 teams this year, teams will play 6 matches, with the team with the best overall record at the end of the day crowned the winner. This is a slight change from last year, and has been done to make sure everyone has the opportunity to play everyone.

Glenelg will be running an ice block stall on the day, to assist with all your cooling needs. Other food and beverage for during the competiton will unfortunately not be available. The customary post-tournament dinner will again be held at Club Marion, with teams having already booked their seats to this private function.

Specatators are more than welcome, and there is no cost to come along and watch. Games will run until 5:00pm, so there is plenty of opportunity to come down and watch what is sure to be a hugely fun day.
