Korfball SA is continually monitoring advice from the Federal and State Governments as it relates to community sport and the broader community and the risks posed by COVID-19. As you would all be aware, from midday Monday 23rd March the Government has shut down all indoor sports centre, a decision that they will review on a month by month basis.

As a result, Korfball SA has taken the decision to postpone, not cancel, the 2020 State League season until further notice and suspend all other Korfball activities, and we ask our affiliated clubs to follow suit.

We have an obligation to put the safety and well-being of our members and the wider community first.  The State League season is something that has always been fluid in length, and Korfball SA will meet again after Easter and provide an update at that time. However, we do not anticipate that our competition will commence any time prior to the June long weekend, as whatever decisions we make will be in line with Government advice and provide clubs ample time to get organised.

We thank you all for your understanding during this difficult time and we look forward to resuming Korfball activities as soon as possible.

Korfball SA also encourages all members to open the communication channels with each other and stay engaged,  We are truly grateful for all of our members, past and present, who continue to work in compromised positions and of course our thoughts are with all of you whose work has been impacted by this shut down.  We will do our best to keep Korfball at the front of your mind during this period.
