After a two-week break, the 2019 State League Season continued with the final matches of the season played at Titanium Security Arena. With the battle for second place in C Grade heating up with the two contenders meeting this past round.

The first matchup of the round saw Arista take on Glenelg. With the previous meetings seeing Arista claim both, winning 21-10 and 18-14. This time around it was no different as Arista were able to claim the victory 22-13. The victory puts Arista in the box seat to secure second spot on the ladder. The top scorer for the match was Arista’s Nik Bungey with 6 goals in the win. Whilst for Glenelg it was Daniel Phillips who led the way with 5 goals.
The second match of the round saw North take on Flinders, with the two teams coming in in contrasting form. North came into the round undefeated and sitting on top of the table. Whilst Flinders came in sitting in fifth, so far without a win. In a crazy game to watch 62 goals were scored in the match. With North coming away with a 40-22 win, with 7 different players scoring more than 5 goals across both teams. With Darrian Huddleston top scoring with 9 goals in the victory. Whilst for Flinders Jazz Zulfic top scored with 7 goals.
The first matchup of the round saw Glenelg take on Arista, with these sides meeting twice before. With the ledger even at one apiece, Glenelg won the first match 16-9, before Arista claimed a 16-12 win in the second game. This time around it was Arista who were able to claim the victory to keep their finals chances alive, winning 19-7. The top scorer for the match was Arista’s Tony Beeson, whilst Claire Bowler led the way for Glenelg with 4.
The second matchup of the round saw Flinders take on North. With these two sides meeting twice before with North recording wins both times. This time was no different as North came away with a 19-13 victory to maintain their position in the top three. The top scorers for the match were North’s Jeremy Harris and Flinders Tyson White, who both scored 6 goals apiece.
The first matchup of the round saw The Tigers take on Boomers. With these sides having drawn their first meeting, before Boomers claiming the remaining fixtures. This time was to be no different as Boomers put in a superb team effort to claim a 17-4 victory, with all 8 players to take to the court scoring for Boomers. The top scorers for the match were Boomers duo Paul Adams and Stefan Scragg, with 4 goals each in the win. Whilst for Glenelg, Lee Jones top scored wth 2 goals.
The second matchup of the round saw Arista take on the Cubs, with second spot on the line for the winner of the match. In a match that could only be seen to be believed. Midway in the first half, play was halted as a leak from the roof was drooping onto the middle of the court. Play was stopped as an attempt to clean the court up.
The game was stopped momentarily, which caused the A Grade game being played on the main court to be stopped as well. A quick meeting saw the game moved over to the spare court. Both teams are to be congratulated on getting the court reset quickly to resume the game. With the final score of the game seeing Arista claim a 9-4 win. With Arista’s Owen Murray top scoring with 3 goals, whilst for the Cubs, it was all individual goal scorers.
