The Beach Korfball season is all over for another year, with what ended up being a very tight table at the end of the competition. With 4 out of the 5 teams winning 4 matches, there were a huge number of draws being fought out over the 6 weeks. However, one team was able to win 6 matches, and as such, congratulations must go to the Sharks, who finished 3 points clear of Flinders in second place. This is a great effort for the Flinders club as a whole, with both of the top two teams coming from that club.

The Weasleys and Goud Stormloop finished equal on points, with The Weasleys only pulling ahead by virtue of a better goal difference. Bringing up the rear was WOFTAM, another 3 points down, yet somehow with the best goal difference of the competition. The full results and ladder can be found on the Beach Korfball Competition page.

The competition was a great success, and all matches were played in fantastic spirits, with more laughs than goals in most matches. There were also several new players who had their first taste of Korfball in this competition, as well as many interested spectators. With the still relatively new KSA banners in place, holding the matches in such a busy public location certainly attracted a lot of attention. We look forward to early next year when the competition starts up again, and we hope to see plenty of new and familiar faces out there then.
