Its time for the business end of the 2018 Korfball South Australia State League season, the Grand Finals! Now that the preliminary finals have been completed (you can catch up on all the details at the Finals Week One wrap up), we now know who has qualified for the last matches of the year. This year sees the six competing teams coming from four clubs, as can be seen below.
Grand Final day kicks off at 1:00PM on Sunday the 26th of August, at Titanium Security Arena, with the first match starting at 1:20PM. Entry is free for all spectators. The schedule for the days competition can be seen here:
Due to the inconsistent number of teams in grades, finals structures do differ slightly between grades. A Grade saw a 3rd place playoff on Preliminary Final Day, with the Grand Final being determined at the conclusion of the regular season. B and C Grade both see the top placed team go straight to the Grand Final, while 2nd and 3rd play off in a Preliminary Final. Finals brackets for applicable grades can be found below.

As we can see, B and C Grade have remarkably similar stories, with Flinders going straight through in both instances, and Boomers beating Arista to qualify for a Grand Final spot in both grades as well. North and Arista both go straight into the Grand Final in the A Grade.
Good luck to all competiting teams and players, and we look forward to seeing you out there cheering on your team.
